Nathan Forbes

"Employee of the Month" for July 2009

Nathan Forbes better known as Pee Wee is an exemplary employee who has outstanding organizational skills and work ethics. He has the respect of the people that work around him as they are witness to his dedication to MHI. He always takes his job very serious by researching all specs and tech manuals to ensure that the requirements of the job are properly met. He has been challenged over and over many times to make job deadlines that seemed impossible.

Pee Wee always comes through with quality, quantity, and safety and stays on top of every job despite ever changing requirements. He quickly adjusts to growth work or specification changes which frequent our industry. Part of his success is that he rallies his crew, and is a mentor and teacher to less experienced Pipefitters. Pee Wee is also a master at dividing work efforts between ships force and assisting shops, which results in maximum production. He will work whatever hours it takes to make the job happen with no complaints.

His most recent hot job was repairing fuel piping leaks aboard USS Nitze; this job was very challenging with a short time to complete. His contributions and achievements are too numerous to list in this write up. His devotion and dedication to MHI is clearly outstanding and appreciated.
