MHI to activate Hawaii Fast Ferries to aid in Haitian relief aid: Charlie Griffin (Project Manager for MHI) landed on the decks of the Huakai and Alakai running with a hand written list in one had and phone in the other working around the clock to install water makers, deck tie downs, pipe repair, installation of engine room cat walks, plate installation in way of deck house, installation of 6 - 1,500 gallon water tanks and other assorted items. MHI is pleased to work with Hornblower/Austal and looks forward to a long working relationship.
